KFL cross country Oxleas wood results

The conditions were not as bad as forecast for match 3 of the KFL cross country and although there was no sun, sunglasses were required for Sally's shorts and socks! Nine 7oaks tri members ran as part of the 27 strong Sevenoaks ac team. The woods provided shelter from the wind and the mud was not as deep as expected although there were some steep climbs!

Apologies to new members Edmond and Joanna Groebel for inadvertently omitting them from the Knole results. For Oxleas, Edmond was the fastest 7oaks tri runner and Joanna the second fastest female runner. Cath Linney was again the fastest SAC female, 3rd W45 and Glenda was 3rd W55. There is little change in the team standings at this stage.

Becca in action leading the way!

The next round is at Minnis bay, Birchington on 8th January. If the tide is out we start on the beach. I normally take a 7 seater, so please let me know if you would like a lift.

Change to Fowlmead Date: Due to an administrative error by the people running the Bettshanger Country Park at Fowlmead, the race there will now be on 19th February rather than 15th January.

New Team Scoring: For 2016-17 there will be eight men and four women to score in each team. The eight men must include one MV40 and two MV50s and the four women must include one FV35 and one FV45. Thus the requirements for veteran runner scorers is unchanged from the 2015-16 season.
