New members are always welcome

We have members of all standards with different goals and ambitions across many different distances and disciplines. New members are always welcome - from beginners to more seasoned triathletes.  We would be delighted to hear from you and offer you an opportunity to come and try out a swimming session.  If you have any pre or post joining queries, please email newmemberrep@7oakstriclub.co.uk and Hamadel will be able to help.

Try us for a month?

To help any new members decide if the club is the one for them, we have introduced a one month trial membership.  This will allow you to attend all the training sessions for one month at a cost of £30 which is redeemable against your full membership fees on joining.

Membership Options from September 2023

WET Membership

Wet membership covers all regular club activities including pool swimming, club rides, run sessions, turbo sessions, participation in club time trials, access to club kit, access to strength & conditioning, and attendance at club social events.

Senior
(Age 25 or over)		 £75 from 1st September
Youth & Young Adults
(Age 16 to 25)		 £55 from 1st September
Over 65s £55 from 1st September

Your category of membership is determined by your age as at 31st December in the year of membership.

In order to comply with BTF requirements (we also consider ASA and British Cycling as well) for Safeguarding and Protecting Children the club has introduced procedures where possible to allow our Youth members (16/17 year olds) to participate in club activities. However, these are necessarily restricted such that our Youth members can participate (once the suitability of the session for the individual re fitness and ability has been assessed) as follows:
  • Pool swimming
  • Running when accompanied by a responsible adult member
  • Turbo sessions

DRY Membership

DRY membership covers most regular club activities including club rides, run sessions, turbo sessions, participation in club time trials, access to club kit, access to strength & conditioning, and attendance at club social events.

DISTANT Membership

DISTANT members are those who do not live in the area on a regular basis but want to train with the club when they are in the area.  They will normally be a member of another club. They will pay a one-off joining fee of £TBA which will allow them to attend club rides; run sessions and turbo sessions and provide access to non-subsidised club kit.  They will be required to pay an additional £10 per week or £20 per month to attend pool swim sessions.  Separate pricing will be determined on an event by event basis for subsidised club social events.  Lake swimming can be accessed directly with TriSwim.
